How to Change the Codes on an Apex Security System

The security codes programmed into your Apex security system provide your family members or employees access to your property without having to know the system's master code. The system stores up to 32, four-digit user codes, one for each of the people requiring access to your home or business. You might want to change an access code if it becomes known outside your circle of trust or if a member of staff leaves your business.

     Enter your four-digit master code into the main control panel via the number buttons followed by the number "7." The control panel speaks "Enter your user number."

     Enter the two-digit user number associated with the user code you are changing. The system speaks "Enter code."

   • 3

     Enter a new four digit code for the user. The system speaks "Exit" when the last digit is pressed. The new code is ready for use immediately.
