A control panel box controls your ADT Ademco alarm system; this box is where you arm and disarm the alarm and make changes to the configuration. Locating your control panel box should be straightforward when you enter your property.

      Check near the main door of your property. The alarm control panel should be located near the entrance to your property for each access when you first enter. The control panel has an LCD display and several numbered buttons for entering the security code.

      Look near your garage entrance; the installer might have placed the control panel at the entrance from your garage to make the alarm easier to control when you travel by car. The system control panel should be located on a wall or at approximately eye level.

      Follow the beep sounds from the control panel when you enter your property. ADT Ademco alarms beep when you arrive home, directing you to enter your security code. The alarm is triggered if the system doesn't receive a code within a set time; work quickly.
