Ademco 6150 Instructions

The Ademco 6150 is a deluxe keypad from the Honeywell security company. This addressable remote keypad is designed to be used with Ademco alarm system control panels and features large illuminated keys, four programmable function keys and a large backlit display. It is fully compatible with all Vista controls and can be programmed for fire, burglary or personal emergencies. The Ademco 6150 keypad is relatively simple to install and can be mounted directly to the wall, or to a single-gang or double-gang electrical box.

      Turn the unit over to remove the back case from the keypad. Firmly press in the two mounting snaps at the bottom of the unit, then lift the case up from the keypad.

      Guide the wiring from your Ademco control panel through the opening in the back of the case.

      Mount the case back to the wall or to your electrical box.

      Connect the wires from the keypad's terminal block to the control board's terminal block. Connect the "G" wire from the keypad terminal with the "Data In" wire of the control board, and the "-" keypad wire to the "- Aux Power" wire of the control board. Then wire the "+" keypad wire to the "+ Aux Power" control board wire. Finally, wire the "Y" keypad wire to the "Data Out" wire of the control board terminal.

      Place the keypad cover over the mounted case back and push down until it snaps into place.

    Keypad Set-Up

      Press the "Power" button to turn on the keypad. Press and hold the "1" and "3" keys at the same time for three to four seconds. Do this within 60 seconds of turning the unit on to enter the Address mode.

      Clear out the current keypad address. Press "0" while in the tens digit, the tens will read "00" and the cursor will move to the next digit. Press "0" to clear out the ones digit. Work quickly in this mode; the keypad will automatically exit address mode if 10 seconds pass with no entry.

      Use the keypad and enter the proper keypad address. The cursor will start in the tens digit, then move to the ones.

      Press the star key to save your entry and exit the address mode.

      Press "1" and "3" keys at the same time for three to four seconds to view the current keypad address in the display. Press any key to exit, or wait 10 seconds without touching any buttons.
