Press the "Arm Home" button on the control panel to arm the system for home use. Use this mode when you or someone else will be in the home and moving around as usual. While the system is armed in this mode, the alarm will sound if someone opens a door or window, but will not be tripped by the interior motion sensors.
Press the "Arm Away" button to arm the system when you leave your home. You will have a set amount of time to leave the house before the system will be armed (one minute by default). In this mode, the alarm will activate if anyone opens any doors or windows, or if the system detects motion inside the home.
Enter your four-digit PIN code to disable the alarm system. If it is in "Arm Home" mode, you can do this any time. If you are in "Arm Away" mode, you will have 30 seconds to enter your PIN code once you open the door before the alarm will activate.
Check the area listed on the display screen if you attempt to arm the alarm but you see an error message. This message will give you an area number along with a message such as "Open" or "Problem." Be sure that the doors or windows in this area are closed or locked, then try again.
