Ensure the green light is lit on your keypad; you are using the correct code and you are using the correct arming sequence.
Ensure you have properly armed the system, as there are several levels of protection and a wrong input could be the cause of your problems.
Press your four digit code plus the "2" key to arm the entire system, allowing for an entry delay. Punch in your four digit code plus "3" to arm the system with the motion detectors off --- and allow an entry delay. For maximum protection, which you will usually use at night, press the four digit code plus "4."
Check whether a low battery is the cause of the failure of your alarm. This will be signified by the "BAT" on the keypad. There will also be a beeping sound coming from the keypad. If these conditions persist for more than 24 hours, call Ademco customer services to have the battery replaced.
Look at your keypad for the message "For cellular service customers" if the service has been interrupted for an unknown reason. This means cellular tower maintenance or atmospheric interference is affecting the system. This should rectify itself in time.
Reset the system if you feel like something you have inputted may have caused the problem. To do this enter the "OFF" sequence, which is your four digit master code, plus "1."
