How to Do Delayed Entry With GE NetworX

The GE NetworX home alarm automatically registers "delayed-entry mode" when someone enters the property. Understanding the delayed-entry feature reduces the chances of a false alarm being transmitted to the emergency services. The feature is designed to allow users a short grace period after entry, before the alarm sounds. Failing to enter a valid entry code during delayed entry activates the NetworX alarm.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter the property as normal through the designated entry door. The control panel will sound a continuous tone and light the red "Armed" light as soon as your presence is detected, indicating the beginning of the delayed-entry period.

    • 2

Enter your four-digit code using the numbered buttons on the right side of the control panel. Do not press any buttons before or after your code. The alarm only accepts entry codes during the delayed-entry period.

    • 3

Wait a moment as the continuous tone and the "Armed" light go out. The NetworX alarm is now safely disarmed and you may proceed into the property. Arm the system on your way out using the same code; you have a short "Exit Delay" period in which to leave the building.
