How to Unlock the Second Panel on a GE Concord 4 Alarm

The GE Concord 4 alarm system comes with two panels, or touchpads. One can display 11 characters of text and communicates with indicator lights and text, while the other has an alphanumeric keypad and two-line display. You can unlock either touchpad by entering your master code. Once it is unlocked, you can change your alarm's programmed settings. Allow roughly two minutes for this task.

     Press "1" on the front of the touchpad.

     Enter your 4-digit master code. The default is "1234" but should have been changed when your system was installed.

     The alarm system is now unlocked. You can change and erase alarm codes, configure how the system is armed and disarmed and set the time among other functions.
