Streamlight Backplate Installation

The backplate switch adapter is one of the components used to mount a TLR-series Streamlight tactical flashlight to the barrel of a weapon. Once this backplate adapter is connected to the gun, it allows for quick attachment and detachment of tactical flashlights. Even if you've never worked with this product before, you'll find that you can add this backplate to your weapon in a matter of minutes.

     Locate the door hinge pin in between the two molded bumps on either side of the backplate.

   • 2

     Pull out the hinge pin with pliers. This will expose a latch on the backplate.

   • 3

     Open the latch and slide the metal door on the unit to the open position.

   • 4

     Place the rear of the TLR light into the open doorway and slide the latch back into place to lock it.

   • 5

     Insert the pin into the unit with the pliers. Once the pin is set, the backplate will be properly installed.
