How to Change the Code for a Chamberlain Liftmaster Professional Garage Door Opener

Changing the entry code on your Chamberlain Liftmaster Professional garage door opener keeps your property secure by ensuring only your family and trusted friends have access to your home. The existing four-digit PIN is required during the programming of a new code to ensure the person making the changes is authorized to do so. All code changes are made using the wireless entry panel located outside the garage door. You should try to change the garage code every six months.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the garage door from the inside and walk over to the outdoor control panel.

    • 2

Enter the existing four-digit code and hold down the "#" key. The opener light will flash twice.

    • 3

Release the "#" key and enter a new four-digit code. The opener light will flash when the new code has been accepted and is ready for use.
