Craftsman garage door openers are operated from outside the home via the wireless entry panel. Instead of using a key, residents or visitors enter a special four-digit code into the panel to open the garage and access the house. While the other parts of the opener – the motor and indoor control panel – are connected to an electrical outlet, the wireless panel is powered by a square 9-volt battery. You will need to install a replacement battery every few years to keep the panel working.
