Setting the Code on the Craftsman Garage Door Opener

The security code of your Craftsman garage door opener allows people to enter the garage from outside the home without a remote control. Entered via a wireless panel mounted to the outer doorframe of the garage, the security code allows your family access while keeping your property safe from intruders. You should change the code to something memorable when your system is first installed; this way the system does not maintain its default settings.

     Enter the current or default PIN into the wireless control panel outside the garage and hold the "#" at the end.

     Release the "#" when the opener lights blink once. The control panel is now ready for programming.

     Enter a new four-digit code and press "Enter." The lights blink twice when the new code is accepted. Test the door with your new code.
