Resetting the Password on a Craftsman Garage Door Opener

Craftsman garage openers can raise or lower the door in one of three ways: via the remote control, the indoor switch or the wireless outdoor control panel. A four-digit numeric password is required to open the door using the outdoor wireless panel. You might want to reset the password if someone outside your family finds it out. The password can also be reset without the existing code; this is useful if you lose access to your garage from outside.
