How to Change Garage Doors on My Genie Remote

Genie garage opener systems include a remote control for use in your vehicle. Pressing the programmed button on the remote sends a digital message to the opener, causing the unit to raise or lower the garage door. It may be necessary to assign your remote to control a different garage if you have had the main motor head replaced. While most programming is done during installation, it is possible to add or remove a remote at any time.
