How to Operate a KidCo Bi-Fold Door Lock

Many children become fascinated with bi-fold doors. The ease with which they can push the doors open and closed is hard for many to resist. But bi-fold doors can be dangerous. Many children get their little fingers and toes caught in the folds of the doors and end up with painful injuries. The KidCo Child Proof Bi-Fold Door Lock is designed to prevent little ones from opening and closing the doors and still keep the doors accessible to adults.

Instructions

  Place the flat-plastic portion of the KidCo Bi-Fold Door Lock over the top of the bi-fold door. Make sure it is placed away from the hinges and fold in the door and the wand holder is facing you.

  Insert the plastic wand into the wand holder on the front of the lock. Push it up until it locks into place.

  Close the bi-fold door.

  Slide the lock over the fold in the door using the wand. This will lock the door. When you want to open the door, slide the lock back from the fold in the door with the wand and push the door open.
