How to Install Schlage Keypad Functions

Schlage specializes in security solutions for the home, primarily in the domain of locks and entry protection. In addition to door levels, deadbolts and decorative handles and plates, Schlage also offers locks with built-in alarms, wireless entry devices and electronic keypad locks. Schlage keypad functions include enabling vacation mode, altering or deleting user codes and enabling or disabling the turn-lock feature.

      Enter your programming code on the keypad to delete a user code. The “Schlage” button’s LED on the keypad will flash orange three times, and you'll hear three beeps. Press the “Schlage” button followed by the “2” button, which is backlit in blue. Enter the four numbers of the user code you're deleting. The “Schlage” button’s LED will flash orange three times, and you'll hear three beeps. Enter the user code you'll delete again. The “Schlage” button’s LED will glow green, and you'll hear an extended beep.

      Enter your programming code on the keypad to add a new user code. The “Schlage” button’s LED on the keypad will flash orange three times, and you'll hear three beeps. Press the “Schlage” button followed by “1.” The “Schlage” button will flash orange three times and you'll hear three beeps. Enter the new user code on the keypad. The “Schlage” button will flash orange three times and beep three times. Enter the user code a second time. The “Schlage” button will glow green, and you'll hear a prolonged beep.

      Enter your programming code to change your programming code. The “Schlage” button will flash, and you'll hear three beeps. Press the “Schlage” button followed by “3.” The “Schlage” button will flash, and you'll hear three beeps. Enter your new six-digit programming code. The “Schlage” button will flash, and you'll hear three beeps. Enter your new programming code. The green backlit “Schlage” button and a prolonged beep indicate that you've successfully changed your programming code.

      Enter your programming code to delete all user codes. The “Schlage” button will flash and beep three times. Press the “Schlage” button followed by the “6” button. Wait for the orange flashes and the three beeps. Enter your programming code. The green backlit “Schlage” button lights up and you'll see a prolonged beep on completion.

      Enter your programming code to enable or disable the turn-lock feature. The turn-lock feature allows you to lock the door without a key by turning the handle away from the door hinges. Enter your programming code and wait for the orange LED flashes and three beeps. Press the “Schlage” button followed by three beeps. The “Schlage” button will flash orange upon completion.

      Enter your programming code to enable or disable the beeper, which prompts the lock to produce a beep when the handle is turned. You'll see the “Schlage” button flash orange three times and you will hear three beeps. Push the “Schlage” button followed by “5.” You'll hear a prolonged beep, and the “Schlage” button will illuminate green.

      Enter the programming code to install vacation mode, which disables all user codes. Push the “Schlage” button. A prolonged beep and a green LED confirm the enabling of vacation mode.
