Black Military Duct Tape

• Black military duct tape is waterproof and used for sealing military packages so they can ship safely without being torn open. Members of the military also use this strong and durable tape to repair gear when it becomes damaged in battle or training. Some soldiers regularly use black military duct tape to hold their gloves, boots and gear firmly in place.

General Purpose Black Duct Tape

• General purpose black duct tape can be waterproof and tear resistant, depending on the material it is made from. Some general black duct tapes are made from cloth while others are made from rubber. These tapes are used to repair athletic gear, camping equipment, furniture, clothing, shoes, tools and tarps. A quality general purpose black tape sticks to any surface and is excellent for sealing up packages.

Black Flagging Tape

• Construction workers us black flagging tape to mark off areas that are under construction. This tape might also mark off the sections of a work site that they will not be working in. This tape is suitable for many outdoor uses. It has often been used to mark trees that need to be cut down, and surveyors use the tape to mark property lines.

Black Electrical Tape

• Electricians use black electrical tape to repair or mark electrical wires. Made of rubber and sometimes vinyl, this tape is fireproof and tends to stretch so it is easier to wrap and insulate electrical wires. This tape is appropriate for low voltage electrical wires, and some black vinyl tapes are not safe to use for electrical wires at all. • Black vinyl tape is used for repairing black vinyl seats in cars and on motorcycles. This tape can sometimes be used to repair holes in black vinyl furniture such as sofas and chairs. Athletic trainers and athletes also use vinyl tape to repair sporting equipment such as hockey sticks. In an emergency, this tape can be used to wrap a leaky water pipe until it can be fixed properly.

Black Athletic Tape

• Black athletic tape is used to repair athletic equipment and for wrapping boxing and baseball gloves. Sometimes the tape is even used to hold sport socks and pads in place during football, hockey, basketball and baseball. Skiers like to use this tape to wrap their pant legs to prevent snow from entering their boots.
