Clean the butcher block surface and allow to completely dry. Use sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges.
Plug in a hair dryer and begin gently warming the surface of the butcher block. Turn off and place the hair dryer aside. Apply a light coating of the Behandla with a paint brush. As soon as the surface is covered, rub the surface with a clean, dry, lint-free towel or rag to even distribute the Behandla. Do not allow more than 15 minutes between painting the surface and rubbing with the cloth.
Turn on the hair dryer and again warm the surface. Rub the surface with a new, clean, dry towel to remove any excess Behandla.
Allow the surface to dry at least 2 to 4 hours before adding another coat by repeating the previous steps. Allow the butcher block to completely cure for 24 hours before using.
