Unplug your Skil saw from the electrical outlet.
Press the blade's locking button in. This button is on the opposite side of the blade on the saw's housing. Locking the blade in place will minimize the risk of injury while removing the old blade.
Pull the blade's safety guard into the upward position.
Use a wrench to remove the blade's retaining bolt and washer.
Slip the old blade off the saw's shaft.
Slip the new blade onto the shaft, making sure the saw blade teeth are angled down on the front of the saw.
Replace the retaining bolt with the wrench.
Place the blade guard back down and unlock the locking button.
