How to Use a 10 Dual Sliding Compound Miter Saw

The 10-inch dual sliding compound miter saw has a distinct advantage over many other miter saws in that it has the capability to extend similarly to a radial arm saw. Operating on a set of slide bars, this saw enables the user to cut wide boards, unlike other miter saws. The bevel adjustment will swing to either side of the dual sliding compound miter saw. When cutting long pieces, the dual bevel allows the saw to move, eliminating the need to turn the workpiece around.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach the saw to a sturdy work surface using 2-inch screws in the four holes provided in the saw.

    • 2

Lock the saw on the slide mechanism by turning the slide lock clockwise. The slide lock is located on the back of the saw's tubular slide rails.

    • 3

Adjust the angle by lifting the angle locking handle on the front of the saw table and pushing the handle to the left or right.

    • 4

Lock the saw on the desired angle by aligning the pointer with the angle scale located on the front of the saw base, and pressing down on the angle locking handle.

    • 5

Set the bevel by loosening the bevel lock handle and swing the saw to the right or left with the trigger handle.

    • 6

Tighten the bevel lock on the desired bevel angle by aligning the indicator on the scale, which is located under the slide rails.

    • 7

Set the bevel and miter indicators to 90-degrees, place the workpiece against the saw fence and flat on the table and hold the trigger handle while applying downward pressure on the trigger handle.
