Position the Ryobi saw so you can see the backside. This positions the saw blade to your right and the motor casing to your left.
Look under the blade motor casing. The casing has several air vents cut into it to allow the motor to breathe.
Locate the silver metal pushpin under the motor casing going into the left side of the blade arm.
Push down on the carrying handle to recess the blade into the base of the miter saw and then push in the pin as far as you can. With the pushpin pushed in, lift up on the carrying handle.
