Instructions

    • 1

Attach the axle housing and brake drum together. These two pieces will fit together and you will bolt the pieces so they do not come apart. Find the center of the table and bolt this piece into place.

    • 2

Secure five supports to the main shaft using the bolts. One support is for the worktable, one support is for the pulley system, and three supports are for the control arm.

    • 3

Mount the arm and bracket six inches above the main shaft, using two bolts and the brackets to hold it in place. Cut an old piece of metal and bolt it to the support arm for extra stability.

    • 4

Bolt the arm to the main shaft.

    • 5

Bore and mount the double wheel to the back of the main shaft. The generator will be next to this. Connect the two wheels of the double wheel by attaching the shorter belt to one wheel and the other wheel. The belt should be able to move freely between the wheels.

    • 6

Measure the bottom of the wheel to the center of the main shaft. Install a bracket at the center of the main shaft that has an axle on each side holding a spindle. The long belt rests here as it goes to the spindle attached to the bit.

    • 7

Add the brake handle on a pivot on the top of the main shaft. Mount the final spindle on the base and lock to the bar using the connected bit.

    • 8

Load the back of the break arm with a spring that will go up when released.
