Replacing the Sliding Miter in a Ryobi Table Saw

The Ryobi BT 3000 table saw includes a sliding miter, which serves as a moving platform for the wood as the saw makes the cut. The miter slides into grooved channels in the table as the wood piece rests on the surface. A locking mechanism secures the miter. Replacing the sliding miter takes less than a minute after removing the lock.

Instructions

    • 1

Unplug the electrical cord from the wall outlet for safety.

    • 2

Remove the metal tab along the front edge or side edge of the miter table. This part is the slide lock that holds the table in the desired position either for projecting the table base to the front or to the back, depending on which position the lock is inserted.

    • 3

Pull the miter table straight back from the edge of the main Ryobi table and lift the miter table at a slight angle. Remove the miter table from the saw table.

    • 4

Replace the miter table by holding the rear edge at a downward angle. Align the table with the two grooves in the Ryobi table, lower the miter table horizontally and push straight back.

    • 5

Insert the metal lock tab in the desired lock, either at the top or in the side of the miter table.

    • 6

      Reconnect the power cord.
