Position a step ladder under the Liftmaster commercial garage door opener motor. If it is necessary to use an extension ladder due to the height of the opener, position the tip of the extension ladder across a secure beam. Do not rest the ladder against the opener. Ask a helper to hold the bottom of the ladder as you climb to the motor.
Find the "Learn" push button on your Liftmaster commercial motor. The button will be next three other buttons stamped with "Open," "Close" and "Stop."
Press and release the "Learn" button, if programming a single button remote. The LED light will illuminate. Press the button on the remote until the LED blinks rapidly. Release the remote button and the opener is programmed.
Push and hold the "Learn" button, if you are programming a three-button remote. Press and hold the long button on the remote. Release both buttons at the same time.
Press and hold the long button on the remote until the LED light blinks rapidly. Release the button and the closed function is programmed. Repeat the process for the remaining two buttons to program the "Close" and "Stop" buttons on the remote.
