How to Remove Vinyl Pull-Out Windows

Vinyl is a durable material used in the construction of windows. Windows made of vinyl tend to survive long winters and hot summers better than wood windows. Although repair is often rare with vinyl windows, you may need to remove the window on occasion to clean it or to adjust the balances on the side of the window. Many vinyl windows tilt and pull out, but check with your manufacturer if you have a custom design.

Instructions

    • 1

Raise the bottom window sash 3 inches from the base.

    • 2

Press the jamb liner with your fingers and pull the window out toward you.

    • 6

Depress the jamb liner with your fingers and bring the top of the sash toward you. Lift one side and remove the window.
