How to Reset a Sears Garage Door Keypad

It's a good idea to reset the Sears garage door keypad for security purposes. Sears sells a full line of openers by several manufacturers including Chamberlain, Liftmaster and Genie. Each of these manufacturers now uses an internal coding system that makes changing keypad codes and remotes a matter of pressing a button. Resetting the code on a Sears garage door keypad is generally the same regardless of the manufacturer.
