A key component of every shower door is the seal along the bottom edge of the door. This seal prevents water from escaping from your shower stall while the shower is in use. There are several different materials used for shower door seals, depending on the type of door. For instance, clear polycarbonate is often used when glass meets glass, while rubber or vinyl is often used on the bottom of a door that is encased in a metal frame.
