# How to Take the Glass Out of the Larson Full-View Storm Door
One of the many features that make a Larson full-view storm door an attractive and functional addition to any exterior door is the removable glass panel that can be replaced with an optional screened panel for ventilation during warmer months. Whether you need to remove the glass panel for repair or to replace it with the optional screened panel, the procedure is takes only a few minutes to complete and requires no tools.

Secure the Larsen storm door in the full-opened position by sliding the closer rod locking tab against the closer cylinder.

Grip the two metal tabs on the inside of the glass panel’s bottom horizontal frame member firmly and lift the glass panel using the metal tabs. Raise the panel until the bottom horizontal frame is approximately 1/4-inch above the door channel. Pull the bottom of the glass panel outward.

Allow the glass panel to slide downward slightly to free the top of the glass panel’s frame from the upper door channel. Remove the panel from the door.
