How to Reinstall a Bi-Fold Door

A bi-fold door is supported and operated by one top pivot and another top guide pivot set into a track, with a bottom pivot set in a bracket. All parts are already present when you are reinstalling the door. The only task left to tackle is placing the door's pivots into the the top track and the bottom bracket. The door panel should sit at the proper height and have the correct clearance, based on the manufacturer's directions, and it should sit plumb in the opening. Once reinstalled, adjustments ensure the door sits properly and opens and closes smoothly.
