How to Replace Glass in Metal Solarium Doors

A solarium is like a sunroom with a glass roof, along with glass walls and doors. The glass provides a large amount of light and warmth into the room. Over time, the glass in a solarium’s metal door can break or crack. If this happens, cold air from the outside can leak into the solarium, cooling it down. Replacing the glass in the solarium’s doors prevents this from happening.

Instructions

Loosen the screws on the sides of the solarium door’s metal frame with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove all of the screws that hold the window in place. This will loosen the frame around the solarium glass door.

Slide the new glass into the metal frame by slipping it into the bottom part of the frame first. Move the glass to the left then the right to fit it into the sides of the frame. Finally, snap the top of the glass into the upper part of the frame.

Tighten the screws around the new glass in the solarium door.
