How to Separate Bifold Doors

Separate bifold doors before moving or storing them. Bifold doors are connected by hinges. Removing them makes the doors more compact. Storing the hardware separately, but with all pieces together, keeps them safe and accessible for when you are ready to reassemble the doors. When separating the doors, take special care to protect the wood as well as the paint or finish from damage.
