How to Adjust an Atrium Window Slide

Atrium is a window company that’s been in business since 1948. They provide different window types including sliding windows. If your Atrium window isn’t sliding well, the tract could be dirty or the sliding portion may need adjustment. The most common problem with the sliders is that the window isn't placed at the proper height. Sliding Atrium windows have a screw for easy adjustment.

Instructions

    • 1

Vacuum the window’s bottom section where the sliders are removing dust and dirt.

    • 2

Dampen a cloth and place two or three drops of dish soap on it. Wet the cloth to produce slight suds. Scrubbing the window sliders with the cloth cleans the tract area. Rinse the cloth well and wipe off the tract again to remove the soap. Dry the tract with another cloth.

    • 3

Locate the hole at the top of the Atrium window frame. A plug the same color as the frame may cover the hole. Remove the plug from the window.

    • 4

Insert the screwdriver into the hole. Turning it clockwise pulls the window slider higher. Do this if the window hesitates on the tract when you move it. Turning the screw counterclockwise moves the slider lower if the window is hangs slightly above the tract and doesn’t rest on it. Place the plug back in the hole.

Spray furniture polish onto the tract for easier sliding.
