Line up one of the hinge's leaves on the edge of the plantation shutter panel attached to the wall. Extend the hinge's knuckle -- the part that moves -- slightly past the shutter's edge and line up the screw holes with the pilot holes in the shutter edge.
Drive one supplied screw through each screw hole with a drill equipped with a Phillips head driving bit. Repeat this process to secure the middle and bottom hinges to the shutter's edge. Open each hinge so the two leaves are separated from each other.
Ask a friend to hold the second shutter panel against the first shutter panel. The two panels' backs should be touching, just as they would be when the shutter is open. Set the second panel into the sliding track so you can line up the two panels' top and bottom edges.
Lay the opened hinge leaves over the second shutter panel's edge and line up the screw holes. Drive a supplied screw through each screw hole. Open and close the shutters to check that they don't rub together.
