Instructions

    • 1

Completely cover your flooring with tarps or drop cloths to protect it from the bleach. Put on your rubber gloves to protect your hands from the bleach.

    • 2

Pour a gallon of very hot water into the bucket and add a cup of household bleach to it. Fill another bucket with very hot water for rinsing.

    • 3

Remove and discard any small remnants of wallpaper that may still be adhering to the walls.

    • 4

Sponge the bleach solution onto the wallpaper paste on your wall. It's best to work from the ceiling downward, doing one small section of the wall at a time. Scrub the wall with the bleach water to loosen the paste, which will come off of the wall and stick to the sponge. Wash the paste from the sponge in the bucket of plain rinse water.

Sponge any excess bleach solution from the walls. Use clean hot water to rinse the now wallpaper-paste-free walls.
