The Wallwik system comes with its own scoring tool, which is designed to be safe to use on drywall. It has spikes that prick the wallpaper and pull it outward. Run the tool over the wall in circular motions, making the scoring marks about ½ inch apart. To make the process more manageable, envision the wall in 3-foot sections and complete each section before moving to the next, working top to bottom. Don't push too hard or the drywall may be damaged.
After the paper is scored, the wall needs to be soaked with the Wallwik solution. Fill a bucket with warm water and mix in the solution. Soak the sheets in the solution and place the wet sheets onto the wall. They are designed to adhere to the wall and will stay in place. Leave the sheets on the wall for about half an hour for the solution to soak through the adhesive.
To keep the sheets moist, spray them with more of the solution. Test a strip of the wallpaper to see if it will easily peel away. Remove the sticky sheets and put them back into the bucket, reserving it for the next section of wall. They can be reused many times. Before it dries, pull the wallpaper off the wall. It should come off the wall in large strips.
