Place old sheets or newspapers on the floor to catch pieces of the wallpaper border as it releases from the wall.
Fill a spray bottle with hot water and spray the wallpaper border. Saturate the border with the liquid, and wait two to three minutes.
Place a putty knife at the edge of the wallpaper border and lift it up. Peel the wallpaper from the wall with your hand, or scrape it off with the putty knife. Spray additional water on the wallpaper if needed to loosen it from the wall.
Wipe glue residue from the walls with a hot, damp rag. Wipe the walls dry with a clean cloth.
