Do-it-Yourself Log Wall Panels

Log wall panels are used to cover up walls in your home. This can be done for a variety of reasons, such as uneven wall color or material, or simply to spruce up your room's appearance. To install log wall panels yourself, you must determine where you want to place them and how many you need to cover the desired space. You also need some tools and materials for this project.

Instructions

    • 1

Grab the tape measure and measure the wall's height. Divide this number by the height of the log wall panels. This will be the number of panels you need.

    • 2

Measure the width of the wall and transfer this measurement to a log wall panel. Make a mark with a pencil to define where it should be cut.

    • 3

Cut each piece of the panels with a saw and smooth away sharp edges with your sandpaper.

    • 4

Apply a construction strength adhesive to the wall panel and place it at the bottom of the wall.

    • 5

Drive a screw into every end of the panel with your power drill. Install every panel until you reach the top of the wall.

    • 6

Apply caulk over any gaps between the log wall panels and over the screw holes as well.
