Vacuum the wall surface to remove dust and debris. Ensure that no loose materials remain on the wall surface.
Measure the amount of wall repair fabric you require to fix the wall. Use enough fabric to surround the damage on the wall by at least 2 to 3 inches. Cut the fabric to fit with the scissors or the precision knife.
Remove the adhesive liner from the back of the repair fabric and press the fabric onto the wall carefully. Smooth the fabric over the wall with the drywall knife to remove any bubbles or wrinkles. If you must use more than one piece of fabric, overlap the fabric pieces by 1 inch and press the seams thoroughly with the drywall knife.
Cover the repair fabric with a thin layer of drywall compound. Apply the drywall compound with the drywall knife, smoothing it evenly over the fabric and feathering the edges beyond the fabric edges carefully. Work until you make the drywall compound perfectly smooth and even over the fabric on the wall.
Allow the drywall compound to dry completely -- at least eight hours.
Sand the drywall compound with the fine sandpaper to create a smooth and flawless surface on the wall.
Paint the repaired wall with whatever paint matches the surrounding wall and the rest of the walls in the room.
