Use a stud finder to locate the steel frame inside the wall in the chosen mounting location. Mark the location of the steel studs with a pencil.
Place the mounting-frame or frame template against the wall in the chosen location. Align the mounting holes with the studs, using the marks on the wall as a guide. Ensure the frame is level and mark the mounting holes with a pencil.
Drill holes in the marked locations with a bit large enough to accommodate a toggle-bolt anchor. Drill just deep enough to penetrate the wall and stud to avoid hitting any wiring or utilities inside the wall.
Slide the threaded part of a toggle bolt through each of the mounting holes in the TV and screw a toggle-bolt anchor onto the end of each bolt. Make sure the wings on the anchor fold toward the head of the bolt.
Slide the anchors through the holes in the wall and push them in until you feel them spring open inside the wall. Hold onto the head of the toggle bolt to keep the anchor from spinning inside the wall, and tighten the bolt with a screwdriver or driver bit and drill. Continue tightening the bolts, alternating as you tighten, until all of the bolts are tight.
Align the holes in the television-mounting bracket with the mounting holes in the back of the TV. Insert the included mounting screws in the holes and tighten them securely. Hang the bracket on the frame mounted to the wall and insert the locking hardware, if applicable.
