Remove the return grille by undoing the latches or removing any screws. Leave the filter attached to the grille or remove completely for ease of cleaning.

Clean the filter and grille with a vacuum that has an attachment hose, or wipe it clean with soapy water. Dry well with a towel and replace.

    • 3

Clean the outdoor unit's filter. Use a vacuum on the reverse setting or try a can of compressed air. Make sure all of the grates are clean. Sweep away any leaves, dirt or dust that may accumulate and block the air flow.
