How to Find the FEMA Flood Zone Maps for Pinellas County, Florida

Pinellas County, Florida is located to the west of Tampa and includes the cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater. Most of the county is surrounded by water, with the Gulf of Mexico to the west and Tampa Bay along the east. Before purchasing a home in the area, be sure to check the official FEMA maps for information about flood zones. The Federal Emergency Management Agency keeps online maps at its website that show previously flooded areas.

      Visit the FEMA map service center website and check the top left corner of the screen where it says "Product Search By."

      Click the "Address" tab and select "Flood Maps" under the "Select a Product" option.

      Type in your address at the "Enter an Address" section. You must include the street address, city, state and ZIP code. Once everything is entered, click "Search by street address" to see the maps.

      Click on the "View" button at the map results page to see the flood zone map. The map results page will show maps of previous flooding and the dates they happened. If you don't see any maps listed, then the area does not have any recorded flooding by FEMA.
