How to Plow Snow from Your Driveway

After the snowstorm comes removing snow from your driveway. The task's difficulty depends on factors that include the type of snow, the size of your driveway and the snow removal equipment that you have. If you own a pickup truck and your home has a long driveway, using a snow plow attached to your truck can be the quickest, easiest way to clear your driveway.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach the plow to the front of your pickup truck. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, or ask for guidance from the retailer you purchased the plow from.

    • 2

Drive the pickup truck to the garage.

    • 3

Lower the plow until the blade is touching the ground.

    • 4

Back the truck up until you've cleared snow from a patch of driveway about two times the length of the truck.

    • 5

Turn the truck around and back into the area that you cleared.

    • 6

Drive the pickup truck down the driveway until you reach the end.

    • 7

Push the snow at the end of the driveway onto the surrounding property, keeping it out of the street and off of the sidewalk.

    • 8

Repeat the process to clear another part of the driveway, if necessary.
