Remove the Yamaha ATV's bottom skid plate.
Install the plow mount. Slide the plow mount behind one of the uprights on the front brush guard. Rotate the plow mount so the flanges of the mount face downward. Slide the opposite side of the plow mount behind the other brush guard upright and rotate the mount back to its original position. Center the plow mount on top of the winch mount.
Install the winch hardware. The roller fairlead is the roller for the winch cable; you don't use it for plowing. For snow plow use, the cable should come off the bottom of the drum. Use the hardware that came with the winch to attach the winch. Refer to the winch instruction sheet for diagrams.
Attach the winch hook assembly to the end of the winch cable using the grip clip from the kit.
Install the plow carrier following the instructions that came with the plow blade.
Install the rocker switch. Wire the winch if wiring has not already been completed. Attach the green and black wires of the rocker switch to the plugs located on the remote handle. Attach the red wire of the switch to the ignition wire. Affix the switch on the ATV.
Calibrate the blade. Set the plow carrier and blade on level ground. Load the vehicle as it would be loaded when plowing. Drive the ATV up to the carrier and align the receivers. Adjust the tire air pressure to change the alignment. Alternatively, adjust the shock absorbers to their highest setting. Adjust the detente pins to further adjust.
Attach the plow to the vehicle. Drive the ATV up to the carrier again and align the receiving flanges to the receivers. Stop the vehicle when the carrier engages with the plow mount. Pull the detente pins out and lift the legs until they lock.
Route the winch cable manually over the middle roller and hook the winch hook into the plow base link.
