Honda Snowblower Specs

A snowblower removes snow from unwanted areas. Most people will use these machines to move snow from their driveway or sidewalk. Honda makes both single-stage snowblowers, which are smaller and lighter in weight, and two-stage snowblowers, which are for more heavy-duty snow removal jobs.
  1. HS520A

    • This 76-lb. single-stage snowblower from Honda comes with a GC160 engine and a displacement of 160 cc. It has a recoil starting system, a fuel capacity of 0.3 gallons -- which will allow you to snowblow away for about 90 minutes -- and a semi-self-propelled auger drive mechanism. Its chute-turning radius of 220 degrees, discharge distance of 26 feet, and ability to remove 50 tons of snow per hour should allow you to remove all of the snow you need to. It comes with a two-year residential warranty. By October 2010 the HS520A was priced at about $730.

    HS724WA

    • The HS724WA two-stage 203-lb. snowblower uses a recoil starting system and a Honda GX200 engine with a displacement of 196 cc. Its fuel capacity of 0.92 gallons will allow you to work for about 3.5 hours on one tank of gas, and its clutch and drive mechanism is hydrostatic, which simplifies its use. The turning radius of the chute is about 210 degrees, and you'll be able to remove about 46 tons of snow per hour. Because this is a much bigger machine than the HS520A it can blow snow about 46 feet away from your path. The HS724WA comes with a three-year residential warranty and a three-year commercial warranty. By October 2010 Honda was pricing the HS724WA at about $2300.

    HS1132TAS

    • Honda prices the HS1132TAS as its most expensive snowblower, and it's not difficult to see why. Like the HS724WA, it is a two-stage snowblower, but its Honda GX340 engine with a displacement of 337 cc makes it much more powerful and a better option for those extremely heavy-duty jobs. This 260-lb. machine comes with an electric/recoil starting system and a fuel capacity of 1.6 gallons, which allows you to blow snow for about 2.5 hours. Like the HS724WA model, the HS1132TAS has a hydrostatic drive mechanism and clutch, and a chute-turning radius of 210 degrees. However, unlike the HS724WA, this snowblower has an ability to remove snow up to 56 feet away from your path and remove about 72 tons of snow per hour. By October 2010 it was priced at approximately $3400 and came with a residential warranty of three years and a commercial warranty of three years.
