Check for the wind. You will not want to throw the snow into the wind since it will not travel as far and may actually land on the driveway.
Adjust the throw chute on your Toro so that the exiting snow will be caught by the prevailing wind. Start the blower as per manufacturer's specifications. If you cannot start in the garage, you need to shovel a small area to start the snow-blower.
Slowly push the snow blower into the snow and determine how far the snow is being thrown. If it is clearing the driveway then continue. If it is not clearing the drive shut the blower off and adjust the chute either up or down. Continue fine-tuning until it clears the drive.
Make long lateral lines removing enough snow to cover only half of the snow blower's front opening. This will alleviate the motor over working and allows enough snow to enter the blowers feed chute so it will not bog down. When you finish a pas, pull the Toro snow blower back to the position you started and start another pass. This will keep you from throwing against the wind.
