Instructions

    • 1

Park the snow thrower on a flat surface. Detach the spark plug wire to ensure against accidental startup. Clean out any snow, ice or dirt inside the impeller housing with an old towel or rag.

    • 2

Identify the three belt cover screws located on the top of the unit behind the snow removal chute. Remove these screws and take out the belt cover. With the belt cover removed and the top of the impeller exposed, place a wood block between the impeller and the impeller housing to stop the blades from rotating while you work on the snow thrower.

    • 3

Remove the belt-keeper bracket by loosening the 1/2-inch bolt located on the frame of the snow thrower near the pulley on the side of the impeller.

    • 4

Detach the U-shaped clip attached to the rod located in front of the impeller pulley. Pull the belt off the pulley. Identify and remove the four, 9/16-inch bolts on each side of the impeller. Pull the entire impeller assembly out of the snow intake housing.

    • 5

Pull the release clips to remove the shear pins from the impeller. Slide the impeller brackets and bearings from the impeller assembly.
