Sweep the solid roof deck with a push broom to remove loose dirt and debris. Check that all nail or screw heads on the roof deck are flush in order to prevent damage to the metal panel.
Roll out roofing felt over the roof deck parallel to the eaves. Overlap each parallel course and all end pieces by 6 inches. Snap a chalk line 1/2 inch in from the roof's gable edge. Use a carpenter's square to ensure the chalk line is at 90 degrees to the eave edge.
Install Westform's eave flashing along the eave edge, using roofing nails and a hammer. Install W-valley flashing in all roof valleys starting from 1 inch over the eave edge and overlapping by 6 inches as you work up the valley.
Position the female-rib edge of the first metal panel along the chalk line. Overhang the panel over the eave edge by 1 inch, and leave a 1 1/2-inch gap at the ridge line.
Fasten Westform roofing screws through the metal panel just to the right of the female rib at 24-inch intervals up the roof. Fasten screws into the slots on the male-rib flange.
Install gable flashing over the female rib on the first panel, using sealer tape between the installed panel and the gable flashing's horizontal flange. Use Westform color-matched screws to fasten the gable flashing through the flange and panel to the roof deck.
Position the female rib of the second panel over the male rib on the installed panel. Snap the ribs together working from the eave edge and up the roof. Fasten screws through the slots on the male-rib flange as you did on the first panel.
Repeat the metal roofing panel installation until the roof is complete. Install end closures to the panels at the ridge line. Fasten Westform Z-bars at the ridge line and over the panels. Position ridge caps over the ridge line and attach each cap to a Z-bar using stitch screws.
