Cover any vegetation surrounding your home with dropcloths.
Remove as much of the moss accumulation on your roof by sweeping it with a wide push broom.
Open the top of a clean garden sprayer and mix 1 part household bleach with 1 part water. Mix thoroughly.
Close the cap on the sprayer and prepare the pump as indicated on the sprayer's user instructions.
Soak the moss on the roof with the bleach mixture.
Wait 12 to 15 minutes for the bleach to work on the moss and mildew, then scrub the moss with the push broom.
Spray down the roof with the garden hose to remove the remaining bleach and moss.
