Pick a rain-free day to do your gutter refinishing. Rainwater will mess the whole project up and you will have to start over.
Wash the inside and outside of your gutters with a scrub brush and mineral spirits if they are galvanized.
Heat up a section of the outside of the gutter and scrape it with a putty knife. The paint should come off easily if it is heated enough. Continue this process, moving down the gutter, until the exterior of every gutter is free of paint.
Clean the inside of the gutters with a wire brush and a scraper. You won't get rid of everything on the inside surface, but that is OK.
Cut strips of reinforcing cloth to the width of the inside of the gutter. They will be used to create a more solid coating inside your gutters.
Apply two coats of galvanized primer with a wide paint brush. Be sure to leave time for the first coat to dry before applying the second.
Apply two coats of white exterior acrylic paint after the primer has dried.
Apply a single coat of the Acrymax primer and wait for it to dry.
Paint on one coating of the Acrymax paint and immediately apply the reinforcing cloth over top of the wet paint, being careful to smooth it against the bottom and sides of the gutter. Apply another coat of the paint to the top of the cloth, soaking it through on both sides.
Allow the paint a day to dry and apply one more final coat, leaving you with a set of gutters that look like new and should last for years.
