Instructions

    • 1

Break the damaged Monier tile into smaller pieces by hitting it with a hammer or chisel. Removing smaller pieces of tile will reduce the risk of damage to the adjacent tiles.

    • 2

Clean the area under the broken Monier tile thoroughly, removing all debris that has accumulated. Brush a coat of roof sealant on the area and allow it to dry for 10 to 15 minutes.

    • 3

Patch any holes in the area with roofer's mastic. Get a small amount of mastic on a steel trowel and spread it over the holes, pushing the material down into the hole to fill it as much as possible.

    • 4

Apply roof tile adhesive to the top right curve and top corner of the water channel of the Monier tile. Slide the tile underneath the edge of the undamaged tile above it and hold it in place for about 30 seconds to allow the adhesive to bond properly.

    • 5

Repeat the process to replace any other broken Monier tiles on your roof.
