• Mini v-beam metal roofing is a raised panel roofing material that comes in several lengths that range from 5 to 45 feet in length. This material consists of a series of ridges that measure 4 9/16 inches from peak to peak. The height of each raised ridge is 1 3/8 inches, and the distance between each ridge is 15/16 inch.

Features

• These types of 4-v metal roofing panels come in a different metal gauges ranging from 18 to 26. Some companies only offer these types of roofing panels in a standard finish, while others also have additional color finishes available, usually at an extra cost. These types of roofs can usually be used safely on low slope roofs and in a variety of other applications.

Installation

• Installation of mini v-beam roofing requires attention to detail and only a minimal amount of know-how. Once the old roofing material has been removed, 4-v metal roofing is installed over a weatherproof membrane designed to help seal and protect the underlayment from moisture buildup. Panels are attached with screws and then sealed with sealant, such as ethylene propylene diene monomer or rubber roofing.

Warranties

• Warranties on mini v-beam metal roofing are generally much higher than the warranties on other materials, such as asphalt. The lifespan of metal roofing in general tends to be much longer than traditional roofing materials. Therefore, warranties on 4-v metal roofs are usually 20 or more years, depending upon the specific type of finish and the gauge of the metal.
